Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Seenlog helps you keep track of which videos you have watched on the channels you follow. This page explains what information Seenlog stores and how it is used.

YouTube API Services

Seenlog uses YouTube API Services to look up channels and list their videos, and plays videos with the embedded YouTube player. By using Seenlog you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The embedded player is provided by YouTube, which may collect information under its own policies.

Seenlog does not ask for access to your YouTube account. Channel and video information comes from public YouTube data only.

Information we store

  • Google account basics: when you sign in with Google, your name, email address and profile picture URL.
  • Your channel list: the channels you add, with their public title, description and thumbnail.
  • Watch history in Seenlog: which videos you mark as watched and the upload time of each.
  • Playback position: where you stopped in a video, so you can resume later.
  • Video details: public duration information for videos, cached to reduce API requests.

Information that comes from YouTube (channel details, video details, and upload times in your watch history) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days of being fetched.

Cookies and browser storage

  • A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
  • Your browser's local storage keeps your theme choice, recent playback positions and the last "new video" counts shown on your dashboard, on your device.

Seenlog does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

How information is used

Your information is used only to provide Seenlog's features: showing your channels, marking what you have watched, counting new videos and resuming playback. Seenlog does not sell your information or share it with anyone, except as needed to call YouTube API Services and Google sign-in.

Like most websites, the server may keep standard access logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and troubleshooting.

Deleting your data

You can remove channels from your list at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use Delete my account at the bottom of the Manage Channels page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with. You can also remove Seenlog's access to your Google account at Google Account permissions.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
